Designed frequency based load shedding scheme, panel & interface drawings for generating system consisting of multiple generators working in parallel and associated priority based loads. System consisted of five synchronous generators (two on standby). Tripping of any one of the three remaining generators working in parallel caused the system to be overloaded and lead to complete shutdown. The scheme was designed using GE F35 (UR Series) modern protection system logic capabilities to gradually shed the load on generators in order to maintain the system frequency within safe limits. The scheme is flexible using software based selector switches to change the tripping sequence of the load.
